THE RESIDENTS OF COMMUNITY VENTURESWe will accept males between the ages of 13-17 with any one or combination of the following identifiable or diagnosed characteristics: - Disruptive Behavior Disorders (Conduct Disorder, ADD, ADHD, ODD)
Behavioral Descriptors - low frustration tolerance, temper outburst, mood liability, low self-esteem, poor decision-making skills, defiant behavior, intimidates, bullies, and threatens others, rule violators, impulsive behavior - Delinquent/ Court Involvement
Behavioral Descriptors - theft, property destruction, physical and verbal aggression, school truancy, runaway - Developmentally Disabled
Behavioral Descriptors - IQ of 70 and above, poor communications skills, poor social/interpersonal skills, poor academic performance, impaired judgment - LD Clients
Behavioral Descriptors – academic problems, deficit in visual perception, linguistic processes, attention and memory deficit - Substance Abuse
Behavioral Descriptors - inadequate coping skills, peer-pressure, addictive behaviors

In addition to the above characteristics, we will also accept residents that display other maladaptive behaviors as well as behavioral difficulties due to the following: - Incarcerated Parent(s)
- Physical/Emotional Abuse/Neglect
- Substance Abuse (by the parent)
- Sexual Abuse
Behavioral Descriptors - acting out, displaying aggressive behavior, withdrawing from others

We will not accept males that display or have had previously documented any of the following: - Autism Disorder
- Actively Addicted, or Dependent on
- Illegal Substances
- Fire Starter
- Orthorpedic Impairment
- Schizoid Personality Disorder
